Picture

How dare you bloom
your fat full splendor.
Glowing in daylight
untouched temperate.

Gone your spring spectator
but you flower still?
You ought be abashed
irreverent unwilled.

You flourish and thrive
in the glory of sun
while we die deprived
alone and undone.

Naïve to the pain
or sinister vain
your plenty abounds,
you thrive through our pang.

Oblivious perhaps
of constructed nation,
you’re untouched by hand
of greed or contagion.

Flaunting the cycle
of death and rebirth
perfection in practice
through seasons rehearsed.
